A fast growing London based interior design company recently moved to a new office, and required funding to modernise and fully refurbish the premises.

This referral was presented to PFC by one of the company’s long-standing accountant clients. After initially looking at this as a general commercial loan, it was soon clear that not all four of the company’s directors were prepared to sign guarantees and documentation. As two directors held the majority of the shares, PFC adopted a new and relatively innovative route to finance, effectively agreeing two personal loans for £100,000, but payable into the business bank account, with an option to introduce the funding into the balance sheet.

PFC’s personal loan facilities are processed digitally, in this case allowing the £200,000 to be approved and paid out in less than five days. Utilising electronic signatures and cutting edge software, PFC has seen this credit line develop into a facility that now stands equal to commercial funding. For any SMEs with small ownership numbers, it is an ideal way to get competitive finance, with minimal fuss, into the business.
