Using an extensive panel of more than 60 funders, PFC is able to source multiple types of finance while our decades of industry knowledge, experience and relationships helps us find routes to finance where other brokers may fail.

OUR PRINCIPLES

Regulated under the FCA, we work with a range of commercial organisations of all different sizes and business sectors. Our credit lines include unsecured business loans (for professionals and general SMEs), asset finance, invoice finance, spot invoice finance, stock and inventory funding, VAT and tax finance and personal loans (for business purposes if required).

We will always try to match the client and borrowing purpose to the best available credit facility offered by our lending panel.

ALUN ROGERS

DIRECTOR

Alun is an accomplished finance broker who, since 2003, has helped professional practices, SMEs and large-sized companies to secure unsecured finance for capital projects, cash flow and refinance purposes.

MARK PARSONS

SALES DIRECTOR

Having spent over nine years providing funding into the Professional and SME sectors, Mark is well placed to provide routes to finance for any business seeking external funding. During his time at PFC, he has placed funding for working capital, VAT, Tax, personal business funding, secured residential funding and asset finance.

Mark is passionate about providing the best possible client experience by sourcing highly competitive funding solutions through PFC’s extensive panel of UK based funders in a professional and timely manner.

JASON WAKEFIELD

HEAD OF FINANCIAL PROJECTS

After working in the financial services sector for over 10 years providing financial solutions to professional practices, Jason is proud to be working as Head of Projects for PFC, providing the highest levels of account management and financial project solutions to professional practices in the UK. Jason also works extensively with a panel of accountancy practices that refer SME clients seeking capital.

KEVIN MCNALLY

HEAD OF COMMERCIAL FINANCE

With over a decade of experience in the financial industry, Kevin has an excellent background in getting the right product to fit the situation. Historically, he has provided funding for the Professions market place for VAT, Equipment or business acquisition. His knowledge of the funding market is extensive and he will find the right solution for your funding requirements. Since joining PFC Kevin has grown his general offering to the full SME market place.

HARVEY PEERS

COMMERCIAL FINANCIAL BROKER

Harvey prides himself on providing a one to one service for his clients, obtaining finance from a panel of funders for businesses that require: business loans, asset finance, tax funding and invoice financing. Harvey has developed strong expertise in the scaffolding and general construction sector, arranging asset finance for scaffolding equipment, and working capital loans.

RICHARD LEEDER

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Richard works within the general SME sector, building on his asset finance experience after many years in the car retail industry. Richard also works closely with a large panel of property development clients. Although based in the Cheshire office, as BDM, much of his time is spent visiting companies and attending local business seminars. Working with a large referral network has allowed Richard to arrange notable six figure invoice finance facilities, and assisted in us attracting further challenger banks to the lending panel, resulting in us strengthening our products to SME businesses.

STEPHEN GOMES

HEAD OF COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT

Stephen joins PFC after nearly a decade as Regional Manager for the UK’s largest direct funder in the insurance sector. During this period Stephen developed a multi-million pound broker platform, nurturing key client relationships with new and existing intermediaries.

He has transitioned seamlessly into his role as Head of Commercial Development, and will be expanding his portfolio to include all SME business sectors.

As a Commercial Finance Broker, his remit will encompass funding for some key specific sectors, notably Golf Clubs, Holiday Parks and Independent Schools.

Who we are – PFC Finance and Practice Finance Company are a trading style of The Practice Loan Company PLC. The Practice Loan Company

PLC is a credit broker and arranges finance through a panel of lenders.

Regulation – we are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority for the provision of consumer credit activities (FRN 727115).

Please be aware that business and commercial lending falls outside regulated activity and does not provide the same level of protection.

Product design – We use a panel of lenders to find our customers the most suitable solution to meet their requirements. Our panel of lenders is representative of the whole market and we will only use lenders who are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Marketing and promotions – We hope that you find the information in our promotions informative and useful to you. We review our promotions in line with regulatory requirements to ensure they are clear, fair and not misleading.

Our sales process – is designed to gather information from you to help us find the best lender solution to meet your needs. We gather information to ensure the product is both affordable and suitable for you. All of our account managers are experienced and trained to provide a service in line with our objective to be ‘totally customer focused’ and deliver a service that you will want to come back to us in the future. Currently, between 60% and 70% of customers return to us.

Application process, fees and charges – Throughout the sales process we will endeavor to provide information on our services, the lenders products and all fees and charges. We do not charge fees for arranging your finance; we only receive remuneration from our lenders for introducing you the customer to them. We will always be on hand to provide any guidance or support you need from start to completion of your funding and after your funding has concluded.

Provision of service – The lenders offer will be sent to you with their terms and conditions, please read these documents and if we can be of any assistance in clarifying any points please let us know. Remember you can withdraw from these arrangements at any time until completion and in the case of regulated lending there is a 14 day cooling off period.

Underwriting – The information you provide us helps us to arrange the most suitable products from the lenders criteria. We do need full information because information found by the lender may lead to declines and delays in the process, meaning we need to go to other lenders who may not have such favorable terms.

Monitoring – We continually monitor our business looking at ways to improve the service. This is part of our obligations to put customers at the heart of our proposition.

Culture – We are committed to providing the best possible service to our customers and try to meet your expectations. Sometimes we may fail to achieve the outcomes that you expect, in these cases we have complaints handling procedures in place to investigate and respond in line with regulatory guidelines. Please see the separate complaints handling policy for further information.

Replacement Business – We always endeavour to find a suitable solution to meet your funding needs. In some cases you may want to cancel existing arrangements and replace them with new finance. Please be aware that this may not always be best practice because over the longer term you may pay more interest. In these cases we will bring this to your attention by writing to you and keeping you fully informed.
